Sami Cronk is a mixed media artist based in Richmond, VA
working primarily in drawing and object making. Her process

focuses on the connection between illustration and 3D forms,
color palettes, and mark making. Inspiration for her work
comes from day-to-day moments, material studies, animals,
children’s books, plants, shapes, and nostalgia.

Illustrator/Designer 2013-Present
Creates handmade art objects, prints, and paintings. Available in local retail shops, online through co-owned business, Tiny Art Co., and Richmond, VA’s Quirk Gallery.

Gamago- Product Developer 2016-2017
Worked remotely with San Francisco based product design company, Gamago, developing ideas, sketching, and creating illustrations for new merchandise development.

Mŏngrel- Visual Merchandiser/Display Artist 2014-2017
Was responsible for assisting with product buying, curating items, creating interior displays, designing the windows, going to gift shows, as well as working as the store manager on duty.

Bigtree Graphics/letterpress studio- Junior Designer 2014-2015
Worked with a close knit team of graphic designers and printmakers. Created logos, retouched photos, assisted in web design and letterpress.

Virginia Living Magazine- Design Intern 2013-2014
Worked directly under Virginia Living’s Art Director. Designed magazine layouts, organized content, created illustrations, and attended photoshoots.
